Know What?

We're having a retreat. Seriously.

I signed the contract today. It's a big contract. I was afraid I was going to throw up all over the paper when I signed it, because that cancellation clause was lookin' pretty darned expensive.

But I signed it, and we're having a retreat.

Woot indeed.

Can I share a few things with you? Just, mostly, because my head's going to explode if I don't keep talking about it. I know, I know, this is a PERSONAL blog - but come on - it's an exciting thing!

First, the coolest part about the entire retreat: Vicki Chrisman is coming to teach a workshop and a layout class.

VICKI FREAKIN' CHRISMAN. Is there a magazine this girlie *hasn't* been published in? And do you know how many design team places she holds? And have I mentioned that the woman can work miracles with paper? And she's coming to OUR RETREAT. She's going to teach us how to decorate one of these totally flippin' adorable Sweet Chips Chipboard Houses.

I'm very serious when I say that I'm about to have a heart attack over this.

I'm also very serious when I say that my husband is SO SICK of hearing about this.

Ok.

This little shin-dig we're having..? It's gonna be at the Hyatt Place in Overland Park. GORGEOUS, LUXURIOUS hotel. Really. Awesome suites. Gourmet coffee bar in the lobby (and let's be real here - that's all she had to say. I was sold.). Goose-down pillows & comforters. Huge, beautiful suites. Crazy-cool.

I'm done now. I needed to share it with the world. Needed to be purged. I can function again. Sometimes that stuff just builds up and builds up..
