Wanna Take a Trip With Me?

Whew.. long weekend. Busy weekend. FABULOUS weekend.

First, this is what I made Saturday.

(sorry for the crummy pics.. at work, no light, yadda yadda yadda)

Serendipity Scraps doesn't have a banner or a sign or anything, and I was going to have one made this week, but it occurred to me that I could probably pull one off myself. It's not finished - still needs to be "junked up", but I LOVE it, and if you know me, you know I don't like my own stuff very often.

Second, if you've been following along at home, you know that Dana and I went to St. Louis yesterday to take some workshops with the one and only Donna Downey.

The first thing that I need to say is that it should be extremely illegal for one person to contain that much cuteness. It really isn't fair to the rest of us. Second, Donna Downey is an AWESOME teacher. She totally connected with all of her students, made each and every one of us feel very special and creative, and she is a BLAST.

The second thing you should know is that Red Lead Paperworks is the most fabulously beautiful store I've ever had the pleasure of visiting in my entire life. Unbelievable. BETTER even than Florilegium. It's the kind of store where you walk around and feel so inspired that you don't know where to start. There are treasures to be found in every nook and cranny in that place. I just wanted to curl up with a blanket and a pillow and stay forever. And yes, I took pictures, but more on that in a little while.

So, without further ado, here are the highlights of our trip (although, really, the entire trip was a total blast - giggling, creating, getting dirty, great food - this is really what that "girlfriends" thing is all about).

Adorable? Yes. Even at 9am on Sunday morning.

As jealous as I am, I am so glad you girls had such a great time! I couldn't imagine what it had to have been like to be in her presence let alone have her talk to you! Love the banner too!

Love, love, love the banner! Wow! That is great! Your creativity inspires me! :)

Love how down to earth Donna Downey was with everyone, and the fact that she wanted to take a picture of me with my toothbrush! To think other people don't clean their foam stamps with a toothbrush like I do makes me cringe! Haha!

Thanks for the wonderful day and your friendship!
