Know what my husband and his co-workers do when they're bored? They mess with the competition. They call other auto parts stores and have conversations like this:
Employee: Thank you for calling O'Reilly Auto Parts, how can I help you?
Mike: Hi, this is Mike at Advance, calling to see if you guys carry a flux capacitor for a 1984 DeLorean.
Employee: What year was that again, sir?
Mike: 1984.
Employee: And you said a DeLorean?
Mike: Yep.
Employee: Hmmm.. I'm not showing it listed here in our computer.. let me check the manual.
Mike: Ok, thanks, man.
Employee: No, it isn't listed in the manual as even a dealer part. Are you sure that's what it's called?
Mike: Yep - flux capacitor.
Employee: Well, I'm sorry sir.. you might want to call the dealership, and if that doesn't work, check eBay.
For those of you who don't know, a flux capacitor was what made the DeLorean travel through time in the movie, "Back to the Future."
I know, I know - it isn't funny if you have to explain it.

It was still funny with the explaination, it wasn't funny before that though, since I have no idea!
Ditto what Vera said.
