Linkage

~ So excited about this. For those of you who don't know, I'm a total history buff, and Detroit has always been a big fascination of mine. This city has more urban decay than any other in the United States, and it breaks my heart. I've had a special place inside for this hotel for a long time, and I'm so happy someone's going to "rescue" it.

~ Spring is here. Not so thrilled about that. I was driving home from The Paperie Place last night at ten minutes after six, and it was so bright outside - even in the rain. I realized that daylight makes me feel exposed.. makes me sound like one of those goth teenagers, right? It does. I feel safer at night - I'm out of my element during the day. Maybe it's because I've worked nights for so long. I'm going on 8 years, now. It bothered me that there weren't any signs of night at six in the evening. I hate summer.

~ Love this guy. I tried so hard not to, and I was really successful for a long time. But seriously - does it get any cuter than him? He's totally stinking adorable. And I even like his new album. A lot. I've already downloaded half of it. I hate myself for that.

~ And finally, this. I saw the original the day that it aired, and it has been, ever since, my all-time favorite "news" clip (if it can be called that). If you can get through the first few minutes, the best part of the entire thing comes after the banana scene. Cracks me up every time I watch it.
