Hail Mary

Picture of the day.. you thought I got busy and forgot, didn't you? ;) This is Mary. She sits on top of our entertainment center in the bedroom and watches over us. It used to freak Mike out - he's not Catholic, and the idea of the Virgin Mary hanging out to keep an eye on things was pretty foreign to him, but he's over it now. I painted/glazed her right before I was confirmed. The rosary she's wearing is the one I received for my confirmation. I love her grace and her beauty, and I love having her there to keep an eye on things. ;)



Quick Cards class at Stampers Ink tomorrow - LOVE that class. Techniques again next week.. I think I'm just going to sign up for all of her classes. I wuv them.

PS - this is kind of funny. Apparently, I'm not the only one my dad's been writing off lately, because this morning my aunt called. She said that they had plans with my dad on Saturday but he told them that he "had to help Sara move some furniture." Yeah. First of all, I don't have furniture. I mean really, our house is decorated like a college dorm room. Second, this is the guy I haven't even spoken to since before Christmas. How ya gonna lie about spending time with your kid like that?!? Ok, I'm over it now, I promise. No more mentioning of the deadbeat dad. Cross my heart. But, thanks for your kind words on that earlier post.. it helps to know that other people out there have gone through the same kinds of things, and it's also nice to hear that you're "doing the right thing." Don't you wish these little guys came with owners' manuals?
