Top 10 Movies

10. Sliding Doors - this movie is for anyone who has ever had a broken heart. It's about change, and triumph.

9. Seven Years in Tibet - finding yourself. Awesome experience, and there are so many fantastic shots of Tibet and the surrounding landscape.

8. The Saint - this is the absolute most romantic movie I've ever seen. Ever.

7. The Princess Bride - Fencing, fighting, torture, revenge, giants, monsters, chases, escapes, true love, miracles.. 'nuff said.

6. Return of the King - Uhm, DUH. Lord of the Rings #3.

5. The 13th Warrior - Ahhh, the Vikings. This movie is about a time when men were men. They fought with honor, and they were GOOD at it. Lots of good eye candy, too.

4. The Two Towers - See #6.

3. Willow - "Little person" has big adventures and proves that you are capable of anything you set your mind to, as long as you believe in yourself.

2. Hope Floats - ok, yes, it's a chick movie, but it's a must-see for anyone who feels like their life is spinning out of control. Sometimes you get to that point where you think that the bad stuff is never going to stop coming at you - this is a good movie for those times.

1. The Fellowship of the Ring - I can't even sum this one up. This movie changed my life forever - the water elementals, the hordes of orcs, the goblin armies, the elf queen - it brought everything that had been floating around in my head for so many years to LIFE. I watched it every single day for 3 years. I am not making this up.

I have to honestly admit Sara, I've only seen "The Princess Bride." Loved it. I'm going to have to get my life in gear and rent some of these others.

Ditto what micki said, except our favorite quote from #7 is "You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means. "

And, LOTR is a permanent fixture around here, but John is a "purist" (blech) so we don't watch it with him!
