Exciting Stuff Coming...

Ok girls. Pictures and peacocks will have to come tomorrow - my husband is waiting for me. (winkwink) But first, there are a couple of things I wanted to get out of my system..

A) I added a workshop to my January class load. Not a huge catastrophe, for those of you who are worried, but a couple of you (yes, you - the ones who don't leave comments) emailed me and asked me about January classes, so here it is. I'll update my classes blog this weekend. In January, I'm teaching Sweet 'n Sassy (my usual every-other-month girl layout class, 2 double layouts for $15, this month featuring Cosmo Cricket's "Love Notes" and 7 Gypsies' "Capri Journeys" lines), an altered rolodex perpetual calendar ($25 - the way it looks, I'll be using the new Cosmo Cricket "Souvenir" line for this..), and an 8x8 album called "Winter Wonderland." Winter Wonderland is what I added this afternoon - it's a winter-themed album with an optional Christmas paper and embellishment add-on packet (for those of us who want to scrap our Christmas pictures after Christmas!). The album is $35 and the add-on packet is $5. I'm still deciding on the paper line, but I'm thinking it may be Flair Designs.. I'll keep you posted. These classes will all be taught at Captured Memories. When Tammy gets the newsletter finished, I'll post the dates.

B) Serendipity Scraps is issuing our first challenge this weekend! I'm not giving away too many secrets, but if you're interested, keep your eyes peeled. We'll be posting it on our blog before Sunday night, and we're giving away FIVE PAPER PACKS. I'll be posting pictures of the packs when I post the challenge, but the papers featured are 7 Gypsies and Fancy Pants Designs - with matching Bazzill, of course, and stickers, ribbon and embellishments. To get one of these awesome paper packs, all you have to do is be one of the first five people to complete the challenge - you can scan it and email it, post it to a website and send us the link, or track us down and physically show us your project, but it's GOTTA BE FINISHED. First five - remember that. Can I just tell you how freakin' EXCITED Heather and I are about this?!?

C) Zion has discovered Elmo. I have dreaded this day since I found out I was pregnant.. I am not an Elmo fan. My sister, for awhile, had him firmly pegged as a Grover fan (which we both would have preferred), but alas, he has turned to the dark side. I'm off to track down a Tickle-me-Elmo anniversary edition. Wish me luck.. if you don't hear from me by Sunday, call in the guard.

D) And finally, I am starting work on a new art journal. I have this other journal laying around that's only half-finished, and I decided it's time to do some scrapping for ME. Look for some new entries in the coming weeks, starting tomorrow night. I'm so there.

Happy Friday. ;)

The winter themed album sounds like fun too. I'm really looking forward to taking your Sweet & Sassy and your Altered Rolodex!

I'm stalking your blog like every other hour looking for your challenge. This will be an awesome excuse to actually create a layout of my own! Yay!

I remember hoping my children would never discover Elmo. He drove me up a wall. But at about 18 months old dd #1 found him out. :( But now with Erica, I'd take Elmo any day over Teletubbies or even worse Boo Bahs! Barney was another one I fought hard against too.

Congratulations on finally getting to do some scrapping for yourself! I can't wait to see how it turns out. Of course I'm assuming you will share, right?

Oh girl, just be glad it's Elmo and not Barney. That darn dinosaur is EVIL. :)

(Elmo is awfully annoying though.)

When I was a teenager I collected Elmo, none of my kids care about him much...

I am off to see if you have posted your challenge yet!
