What a day. Zion and I had breakfast at the Roasterie, and it was so relaxing and nice.. he sat and colored in his new Super Grover coloring book that Miss Michele and the "L" girls gave him for his birthday. I read my Gardeners Supply Catalog (picked out a coupla Christmas gifts for myself.. hehe) and drank my coffee. Just calm.. it was so cool.
Then we met Aaron for lunch at Arby's. I wuv him. =)
Aaron went with us to Stampers Ink, which, I must say for the record, is the COOLEST FREAKING STORE EVER. I signed up for some classes, got some cool walnut inks, and an AWESOME BOOK that I'm picking techniques out of as soon as I get finished typing this (this is a warning to anyone who signs up for one of my classes.. new techniques coming soon!).
After we left Aaron, Zion and I came home and had a message from Amy. She wanted to meet us at the Plaza since it was so nice out and do some window shopping. I wuv window shopping. Off we went to the Plaza..
I hadn't seen her kiddos, one of whom is my goddaughter, in MONTHS. They are so beautiful. I got pictures of them, but they're gone now - more on that in a minute.
We did the Starbucks thing, and Zion got his customary latte.. we were all pretty happy. Then we decided it was necessary to wander into Anthropologie for a little bit. This was our downfall.
Has anyone SEEN the displays in Anthropologie? They are AWESOME. It's like Pottery Barn on crack. The problem is that you can't tell who's an employee and who isn't.. so if you're trying to surreptiously take PICTURES of their displays for later use in scrapbook pages or something (this is all hypothetical, of course), they will CATCH YOU and make you stop. If you CONTINUE to take pictures after they've asked you to stop, they will tell you that if you don't stop they will forcibly remove you.
If you STILL take pictures after they threaten to forcibly remove you, they will forcibly remove you. Crazy huh? I never woulda known!
So the day ended on a slightly rough note. In the midst of all of it, I wiped out most of the pictures on my camera.. I may still have one or two, but there definitely aren't many. I don't think Amy will ever go to the Plaza with me again, but she did grudgingly admit that it was a good time.
I came home and cooked smothered pork chops for my husband and we had an awesome dinner, and an equally awesome time afterward (winkwink), and then it was bedtime for me.
Hope I haven't bored anyone.. just felt like that day needed sharing. =)
